I can't believe 2012 is almost half gone! Seems like yesterday that I am indulging myself in the CNY goodies - FOOD! May is ending in few days time.


So far May 2012 is really a roller coaster month for me. Good and bad came in together. May welcome me with a few bad news... few business deal were called off due to some unforeseen circumstances. (Though some were foreseeable) And my staff of 3 will all be gone by end May. Tragic tragic! One resignation is expected as she couldn't perform while surfing whole day at FB busy commenting ppl's post and worse of all, I found out that she was sneaking in her part time work during working hours! Then came another keep going on MC and suddenly told me that her cornea got big problem and doctor have advised her not to look at the screen for more than 4 hours per day! So after 2 weeks of unpaid leave, she decided to resign. Well I guess for her health condition, I couldn't stop her. Then came the 3rd one, telling me that she wanted to venture into something else. Oh great! everything happen in the same month!



While I struggling with the staff resignation and work issues, I welcome my niece with a happy yet tiring mind! Of course I still manage to spare sometime (and mood) to go for my long awaited concert for Jacky Cheung! No regret on spending more than RM600 for the 4 hours performance!

On the closing note in May 2012, my relationship with The One is on the rocky road. What else to come?

May 2012 is really too much for me to handle! Shall I look forward to June? Well I look forward to a getaway!

ANTIPODES NIRVANA BODY WASH

Today I am going to review a natural ingredient body wash that I am keeping it in my travel bag :)



ANTIPODES NIRVANA BODY WASH

You must be wondering why am I keeping it in my travel bag, is it too good that i must bring it when travelling or the other way round?

To be frank, when I first got this body was (a gift from a fren) i was like.... huh? Nirvana body wash???? yakss what a name! In case you are wondering, Nirvana = 富贵山庄= well known bereavement care company in Malaysia. In fact I waited a while before trying, due to the name!! hahahah i am strange heh.

Finally one fine day, i am too bored with my usual body wash and tempted to try out new "smell" so i took it out from the cabinet and give it a try. And this one seems fitting the recent hype of being organic. and It's supposed to derived its ingredient from herbal extract.

Antipodes
"Antipodes is a certified organic skincare and natural skincare range from New Zealand which provides a healthy, positive alternative to the mass of less authentic natural brands and synthetic chemical brands."

How did I like it? Well the body wash doesn't lather into heavy foam (in case u are the type like my hub that insist on covering his own body with white foam) but does the cleaning job fairly well I would say.

The smell, which is a very important factor in considering a body wash, is quite unique. It's refreshing, but not because of the usual citrus based smell. The small reminds me of a freshly cut grass. Imagine you are in a big field and the lawnmower just passed thru. And you get some very greeny grass smell rite? Well this body wash smell the same. Doesn't leave u a strong after shower smell like u just did the gardening but just nice enuff to give you a refreshing kick!

The texture: quite runny in pale yellow, again, probably it's because of the organic thingy hence the texture is not that thick

So now you understand why I keep it in my travelling bag? After a tiring day, i really feel like having something relax and refreshing!

Would i consider buying? Well probably if the price isn't so wallet unfriendly :P

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser

Ever since Ms I introduced me to foursquare I have been quite addicted to it and check in at every where that I land my foot on. On a normal weekend, I was in 1U having my WWS (Weekend Window Shopping) with hub, I took my 3gs out to check in again. Then I saw a promotional note saying that check in at Kiehl's and receive a sample pack FREE. The magic word FREE leads me clicking on it and walking in to the shop!

Before that, my impression of Kiehl's - Skeleton! Why? Coz that's what I saw from their window display. My impression on them? Not much, perhaps a brand developed together with a dermatologist? (I didn't bother to go verify myself, even until now) But it does gives me an impression of an expensive "natural based" skin care range.

Anyway, back to the freegifts, as I showed the foursquare message to the Sales Assistant (SA) she took out a form for me to fill (the usual questionare, name, hp.. etc) upon handing back the form to her, she gave me a sample cleanser to try - Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser



Of course I am NOT getting this bottle FREE! I just got 1 sachet!! There I chuck in to my bag and continue my WWS and forgetting about it. It was until recently that I do spring clean on my cabinet to found out this sachet. As I will be travelling to Ipoh for CNY and I am lazy to bring the full size cleanser, I am deciding if I should give this a try? (What if this doesn't work for me and causing me a BREAKOUT, on CNY?)

Then I look at the product description

"formulated with a sugar-derived glycoside foaming agent to thoroughly cleanse skin and remove make up, without over-drying or stripping skin"

Product Feel:
Feels like thick gel sugar syrup in creamy silverish white. This syrupy gel cleanser lathers nicely, the foam is smooth and silky. Easy to rise off, leaving my face feeling clean and smooth.

Waow Factor:
- Cleanse away my sunblock without needing to double cleanse
- Doesn't leave my skin feeling dry nor tingling after the wash
- Foam lathers well and easy to rinse
- Doesn't cause me any break out

Boo Factor:
- Doesn't come with a pick me up smell like my current facial wash. (this is important to wake me up in the morning)

Purchase Factor:
I am tempted to get a full size product upon finishing my current facial cleanser, cause I am really lazy to double cleanse and I am really worried that without properly cleansing, the sunblock would cause me massive whiteheads!
